HP Multi Jet Fusion マルチジェットフュージョン方式

HP Multi Jet Fusion

Multi Jet Fusion is an additive manufacturing method developed by Hewlett-Packard. Your plastic part will be created layer by layer according to your 3D model. MJF is ideal for functional prototypes and end-use and production parts requiring consistent isotropic mechanical properties.

Advantages

  • Since MJF requires no support structure, parts with hollow sections can be printed easily and accurately.
  • MJF allows Yasojima to print multiple parts simultaneously across the entire build volume.
  • Materials used offer consistent isotropic mechanical properties.
  • PA12 is certified for biocompatibility. Compliant with UPS Class I-VI and ISO 10993.
  • The appearance of MJF 3D printed parts can be produced to a very high standard using various post-processing methods such as dyeing, spray painting and machining.

Applications

  • Accelerator pedal

  • Air collector

  • Medical device

Printing Process

Multi Jet Fusion uses an inkjet array to selectively apply fusing and detailing agents across a bed of nylon powder(1~3), which are then fused by heating elements into a solid layer (4~5). After each layer, powder is distributed on top of the bed and the process repeats until the part is complete.

When the build is finished, the entire powder bed with the encapsulated parts is moved to a processing station where a majority of the loose powder is removed by an integrated vacuum.
Parts are then bead blasted to remove any of the remaining residual powder before ultimately reaching the finishing department where they are dyed black to improve cosmetic appearance.
